Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 green tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose green tea)
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 cup cold water or ice Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish

Method
 

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a simmer (not boiling), then add the green tea bags or loose tea.

  2. Steep for 2–3 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain out leaves.

  3. Stir in honey or sweetener while the tea is warm, adjusting to your taste.

  4. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir well.

  5. Pour in 1 cup cold water (or add ice cubes) to chill.

  6. Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with lemon slices and mint.

Notes

For more flavor, try adding sliced peaches, berries, or fresh herbs like basil. Adjust sweetness and tartness to your liking.
